About Us

Moonlit Yoga is a community based movement that offers Saturday evening Yoga, Tea, and Community as a healthy and life-giving alternative. All of its classes are offered on a donation basis in order to make its programs accessible to all people regardless of their income level. A portion of the proceeds from Moonlit Yoga donations are applied to scholarships for students to practice yoga during the week at the host studio where they attend Moonlit Yoga.

Moonlit Yoga's classes are open to all levels. Those who have never experienced the healing and centering effects of yoga are welcome to drop in at any time!

Currently Moonlit Yoga's Portland, Oregon classes are being hosted by GEM Studio, located at 1110 NE Glisan St., Portland, on the fourth Saturday of each month.

Moonlit Classes always begin at 7 pm.

Moonlit Yoga is a community based nonprofit organization that offers Saturday evening Yoga, Tea, and Community as a healthy and life-giving alternative. Donations to Moonlit Yoga are applied to Saturday class program expenses with a portion ot the proceeds being applied to a scholarship fund for students who are otherwise unable to attend yoga classes throughout the week due to financial constraints.

Moonlit Yoga is a great way to divert from the weekend bar scene... something fun and healthy to do on a Saturday night for those who already love the benefits of yoga, or those who are simply intrigued by the novelty of yoga by candlelight. Moonlit Yoga is perfect for students who want to build a healthy social support system while maintaining a healthy body, mind and spirit. Its student base and their motivations for attending are diverse and varied. Among its students are artists and poets seeking inspiration, those who are seeking to become more conscious about how they live their lives, those recovering from addictions and healing from painful experiences such as domestic violence and grief associated with loss, and people who are managing and healing from chronic long term disease or illness, including mental health issues and stress.

Moonlit Yoga's classes are open to all levels. Those who have never experienced the healing and centering effects of yoga are welcome to drop in at any time!
